This may not help, but it seems like more than an interesting coincidence. According to Walter Geer's book published in 1923 and republished very recently (and still available) by the Geer Family Association, a Jesse Geer born 23 March 1739, married in Preston, Connecticut 24 December 1765, Hannah Evens of Plainfield. Jesse is the son of Christopher Geer and Hannah Geer (she was the daughter of Jeremiah Geer. This information was taken from pages 22 & 27 of Walter Geer's book. No other information is provided later than the marriage. There is information available dating back to the first Geer ancestors in America, George & Thomas who arrived in 1635.
