My gg grandfather also came from New York, According to his pension records his name was Carlton A Geer. He was born in Chataugua County, New York around 1832. He married Elizabeth Rolfe who was born in Jemsee, New York on May 18, 1835. The were married in Brooklyn county, WI. Carlton entered the Minnesota Infantry Volunteers, Company C Reg. 9. He was captured at the Battle of Brice's Crossroads in Mississippi, He died in a US hospital in Annapolis Maryland on March 7, 1865 of Typhoid and is buried in US Ash Grove Cemetery. He was also at N.E. Ferry, SC. Does anyone have information regarding him, where is this cemetery located. He also had a brother named William who was a little older than him. Any info any one has about any of this would sure be appreciated.
