According to Walter Geer, Robert Geer and Abigail Greenman had four children: Robert, born 20 June 1734, died young. Amos born 14 April 1736, died 19 May 1821 and married Mary Wight. Your Abigail, born 19 February 1740; married 22 September 1763 to Ebenezer Witter and had four children. Margaret, born 17 January 1744 died 3 November 1824; married James Babcock. Earlier information of the Geers is readily available.

Was Ebenezer Witter among those who relocated to Madison County ca 1797? There are several Witter families still living in the town of Brookfield, Madison County now. They were among the members of the Seventh Day Baptists who left the Westerly/Hopkinton, R.I. and North Stonington Ct. My ancestor, Aaron (George, Joseph, Joseph, George) Geer was among those families, though so far I have not been able to get proof of the exact location from New York.

The present Town Clerk in Brookfield is a Mrs. Witter and so is the Town Historian.
