GEARING/Garran/Geren, Gloucester MA 1690

I have a fairly detailed history of the Decendants of Richard Gearing of Gloucester b 1698? and married to Lydia Carlisle b.York ME 1697.

Two children, Jane b.York ME 1718 and Edward b. Gloucester MA 1721

Edward Gearing married Mary Dimmmock b. Boston 1726 (Mayflower descendent) and had 10 children. Edward Gearing Jr b. 1771 carried on a Geren Clan and some Geerings all from Gloucester.

I am looking for help with Richrd Gearings Ancestory. He most likely came from England, but with the many name changes during this time, I am wondering if he may have split from a southern group of Gearings or Gerrons. Any ideas????
