I have received some records
from a genealogy buddy that he
obtained at the LDS Center
in Salt Lake City,Utah about
10 years ago.
I will type the two records as
they are written.

Mordecai Gearhart migrated from Switzerland
and came to America before the Revolution.
He located in Germantown,Pennyslvania..Encylopedia of
Biography, p. 262.
Seven of the sons of Mordecai Gearhart,that is all of
those listed above except Philip,were in the battle
of Germantown.

Centre Co. PA

daughter of Peter Gray

John Gearhart was a Revolutionary soldier
at the battle of Germantown.
1788,he removed from Germantown to Half Moon
Valley,Centre county or Huntington county,with
his father-in-law,Peter Gray.
He served as Ensign in the Lancaster County Militia,
John Gearhart is buried at Philipsburg.
