1900 Census Search
The change made this weekend to the 1900 Census Search capability is unacceptable.I had already found the search capability more difficult than the 1850 census search. Now it is useless.
Please, as a minimum, change it back so that we can search a surname by 1900 Census and State. You can enhance that capability by allowing the entry of a "keyword".With the 1850 Census, entering the county name as a "keyword" along with a surname makes searching that census very simple.Frequently, I know a surname and county and do not want to look at every surname listing for an entire state.Imagine searching an entire state for the surname "SMITH".
If you are focused on those of us who are your paying customers, you will make these tools very easy for us to use.Otherwise, we will not renew our subscriptions and will tell other researchers that the subscriptions have little value.Your customer service practices will have an impact on your revenues.
I would like to see a response on this board from genealogy.com.
