How long should it take to fix a bad link?
Two weeks ago I reported a problem with the 1830 census for Illinois. The link for Morgan County actually links to the census for Greene County. The initial response that I got was that the census images come from HeritageQuest, and that I should contact them to get the problem corrected (I was given no contact information for HeritageQuest).I posted a follow-up message, and received the reply that Genealogy.com had contacted HeritageQuest to report the problem. As of today, I have not received any additional information to suggest that someone--anyone--is trying to correct this problem. The link still leads to the Greene County census.Attempting to browse to the correct page numbers brings up an error message that says the page does not exist.Apparently no one else needs to search the 1830 Morgan County census as I am supposedly the only person to report this error.Perhaps other researchers have found a better resource for this data.
