Yes, that works fine.Much thanks. The piece I was missing was going to mygenealogy.com
I do have to say that this is the worst search engine I have ever seen in my life, bar none. And I don't just mean worst genealogy search engine;it's the worst search engine, period.
That's not your fault. That's the fault of genealogy.com.I *really* appreciate your help. Thanks again.
I'm going to have to consider whether to keep my subscription or whether to cancel before my free trial is up.I already subscribe to ancestry.com, and I am *fairly* happy with ancestry.comThe only reason I was interested in genealogy.com was for the 1870, 1900, and 1910 indexes. But searching the genealogy.com indexes is *extremely* clumsy.
I was especially disappointed in light of the fact that the salesperson told me that the 1870 indexes were the same as the HeritageQuest indexes for 1870.I have purchased a few of the HeritageQuest indexes on CD for 1870, and they are excellent (including the search engine!).I was hoping that subscribing to genealogy.com would save me the cost of purchasing additional HeritageQuest CD's.Oh, well.
Is there any indication that genealogy.com understands that they have a problem and have plans to improve the situation, or do they believe that the product is fine the way that it is?
