On Dec4th, (today) this is the "What's new" message:
HeritageQuest Online now includes 7278 family histories, 9483 local histories, and 167 primary sources.
They've added quite a few family histories and local histories, but what are they? This kind of info could be put on the "What's New" section or emailed to subscribers.
There really is a lot of data on the site, but as others have said the interface is so frustrating to use I only find it useful for odd names. It doesn't seem to make any difference what field you enter your search in, you get the same result.I've discovered they are using automatic truncation and some kind of fuzzy matching, so that you get a lot of false drops.
Another problem is that the automatic indexing done by the ocr can bring up a page without anything close to your search.
Still the product has great potential, and if they had more stuff from the UK I'd really be happy!
