Thanks for the reply Russ,
Despite best efforts I cannot delete this tree without further technical assistance.

Genealogy.com support have sent me step-by-step instructions via email - unfortunately the instructions as given did not work!

At step 2: When I click on 'edit your page' I am taken to a screen which shows me already logged in - Welcome Sharon & a Log Out link near the My Account link
[http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/regverts.html]

I tried Log Out/Log In to 'reset' the screen, so to speak.

Step 3: I used the username/password supplied by genealogy.com support to Log In again.
This redirected me to the Regverts page yet again

Step 4: I don't get as far as step 4 which is supposed to display a new window with a 'delete this page' link.

So I am in a continuous loop which will not allow me to delete the tree, even when I follow instructions from the support department.

I have just sent an email back to support to let them know the instructions did not work. Hopefully they will have some sort of work around for such situations.

Regards
Sharon
