David,

A FBK file should NOT be considered a Back Up. Its a COPY of the FTW or working Family File. A Back Up is one that YOU create by clicking on File, Back Up. You can Back Up to your External Hard Drive.

Was that "fbk" file created from an FTW file that was created from a GEDCOM file?
