After 8 years of research and several years of searching
for candidates to complete DNA testing, between a descendant of Adam Gearheart,Sr and John Gearheart,Sr
this is accomplished and completed.
5th greatgrandson of John Gearheart,Sr, my cousin Jim Gayheart and the
4th greatgrandson, Ted L. Gearhart of Adam Gearheart,Sr have done
the DNA testing and the results are back.
Many thanks to Jim and Ted and also to Bob Gardner
for his help with Ted's participation.
John Gearheart, Sr was not the son or brother
of Adam Gearheart,Sr,Jim and Ted do not share a common
ancestor.
At the very best Adam and John may have been distantly
related as cousins.
I saw many differences between Adam and John, through
research and I did have my doubts of the close relationship
but now we know for sure that Adam is not my ancestor
nor my ancestor uncle.
