I am trying to find further information on John Horatio Gayer or Gager married 15 Dec 1820 in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. My mother tells me that her grandmother told her that John Horatio was decended from Sir John Gayer (d 1649). I have been unable to find his John Horatio's parents or where he was born by working backwards and am having very little success working forwards from Sir John. Can anyone help or point in the direction of possible assistance? Thanks. His daughter, Rosehanna, came to Australia and married my G-G-Grandfather.
