Anyone solved the mystery yet of whether Allen Gay was married to Celia Rae Elbert first and Abigail Castleberry second, and who Gilbert Gay's mother was? Some researchers say that Allen Gay was never married to Celia Rae Elbert, and that he was only married once to Abigail Castleberry; has anyone found documentation such as a marriage record of Allen Gay's alleged marriage to Celia Rae Elbert? I am aware of the various articles written and DAR applications which state that Allen Gay first married to Celia Rae Elbert, but have never found any actual documentation to support these claims...Any Gay researchers out there who can shed some light on this mystery?
