I am looking for info on my ggggg-grandfather James Gay. He may have been born in Ireland in 1744 and might have married a lady by the name of Margaret Mitchell in 1819. He settled in Iredell Co. NC. They had a son named John Gay - he may have married Elizabeth Watson. They had a son named Hiram Gay.

The info I need is conformation on the above and info on James parents and birth place. Any help would be appreciated.
