Sean:
All I know about this Addie Gay is that she was the daughter of Ruth Brown and Calvin B. Gay. She was listed as a granddaughter in the will of Orrin Brown of Newport, Herkimer Co. NY in 1872. Her mother, Ruth Brown Gay had already died by 1872. Calvin Gay is not on the Herkimer Co. censuses of 1850 or 1860, so I presume he and Ruth and children lived elsewhere. I don't know where. I believe the will said that Ruth's oldest daughter Ida and husband Smith Snyder lived in Syracuse NY.

I am not aware of other Addie Gays. If you find info on Addie Gay, the daughter of Calvin B. Gay, please let me know. Perhaps that will be a clue to where her mother Ruth lived and died.
