Hi Martha: I had to smile when I saw all of the names in your family tree. I wasn't aware of Thomas Gay from Franklin Co, N.C. but apparently you and I are related one way or the other! I'm from the Nash Co., N.C. Gay family via Isham>Eaton>Burrell>Isham>Isham line who ended up in Brunswick, Glynn Co., Ga. However, I am also related to others in your line...on my Mom's side and Dad's side. We have the Surrency line via intermarriage to Copelands in North Carolina, S. Carolina and Georiga. My maternal great grandmother was a Copeland..also related to the Chesser and Surrency lines out of Tatnall Co., Georgia. The Geigers are also related via intermarriage to the Sherouse/Scheraus line from the Georgia Salzburgers (my grandmother was a Sherouse born in Williston, Floridal died in Brunswick, GA). I suspect our Gay family is interconnected a few times back in the line as well. So, without doubt you and I are somehow related but not sure of the precise interconnect!! :>
