Seek more information on the family of James GAY, born 20 Mach 1744 in Ireland, died Feb 1819 in Iredell Co., NC, USA, married in 1768 to Margaret MITCHELL who died in 1796. Their children were: John GAY, born 20 Mar 1770 in Lancaster Co. PA; William GAY, born 28 Oct 1772 in 4th Creek Settle., NC; and Rachel GAY, born 1 June 1775 in 4th Creek Settle., NC. Rachel married John Benjamin MAYS in Iredell Co.NC. Rachel and John Benjamin are my ancestors. Please contact me if you have info on James GAY ancestry or descendants.
