Dear Ened,

Floyd Gay was my great-great grandfather and it seems the brother of your Porter K., my grandfather is still living and I will ask him what he remembers about his grandfather's family. Floyd Gay was born March 6, 1841 to Moses Gay and Lydia Whipple in Orben, Susquehanna Co. PA. He was in the infantry in Ill. and then moved to Irving, Monogahela Co.,MN. where he married Martha Jane Cole from Lenawee Co., Mich. The family then moved to Wisc. where my great-grandmother was born, then the whole family moved to Washington state. I am not sure if any of this is any help to you, but I just had to respond.
