I have been trying to research a Henry Gay family that lived in Edgecombe Co. Nc. in the late1700's and early 1800's.
Other Gay researchers indicate that Henry Gay lived in Isle of Wight Co. VA before moving to Edgecombe Co. NC. I an interested in researching two of his daughter:
Patience Gay married Elias Owens in 1792 in Edgecombe Co. NC. It is believed they moved to Eastern Tn in the late 1810's or early 1820's.
Winniford Gay married John Cobertt in Edgecombe Co. NC in the early 1800's.
