Thanks David,
Good to know. There seem to be two branches. One from the Skipton area and the other from Histon, Cambs. It seems the Skipton branch had quite a few members of the Friends church and some traveled back and forth to the colonies in the 17th and 18th century. I believe there is a Swathmore College in Penn. that has a Gawthrop geneology of this branch.
I do also have distant relatives from Cononley as well. On the Gawthrop side my 8x G.Grandfather was Richard fom Histon who came to the colonies in 1763. Collin Huggins is a distant cousin and has an extensive amount of information on this branch. We are looking to tie the Skipton and Histon sides together
Bud
