Leonard Gawthrop, Yeoman, Heath par Warmfield,Yorkshire 1675 (PCY ref V56 f85)

Leonard Gawthrop of Heath in the Parish of Wormfield and county of York, Yeoman.
·       I give to Jane Gawthrop, my wife £50, and all my goods and chattels, all my bonds and one mare and a foal. Also all my corn that is sown in the ground or in and about my house, and all my housing, and all the grounds that I have in possession, and all the hay that I have with my brother John Gawthrop.
·       I also give to my wife Jane Gawthrop the one acre 3 roods of land that I brought of Paul Boowers during the term of her natural life. After her decease I give this land to Edward Gawthrop, son of my brother Thomas
·       I give to the said Edward Gawthrop £10 to be paid when he reaches 21.
·       If Edward dies before reaching aged 21 the one acre 3 roods of land to go to John Gawthrop, son of my brother William., as well as the £10 already mentioned.
·       I also give to the said Edward Gawthrop 40 shillings more towards putting him forth to a trade.
·       I give to my brother William Gawthrop £10.
·       I give to my brother in law, Robert Ward one shilling, and to Mary, his wife ten shillings.
·       I give unto John Jackson my brother in law, one shilling in full satisfaction of all legacies.
·       I give unto William Child, my brother in law, one shilling in full satisfaction of all legacies.
·       I give unto Michael Walker, my brother in law ten shillings, and to Elizabeth his wife ten shillings, divided amongst his three children.
·       I give to Robert Ward £3 to be divided between his children john Ward and Mary Ward. Also forty shillings more to Robert Ward for his son Thomas Ward.
·       I give to John Jackson £3 to be equally divided amongst Tountell’s children.
·       I give to William Child £3 to be equally divided between Elizabeth Gawthrop and Dorothy Gawthrop, daughters of my brother Thomas Gawthrop deceased.
·       I give to my cousin Robert Patrick twenty shillings and the interest of twenty pounds during the term of his natural life.
·       On the death of Robert Patrick, my brother John Gawthrop to have the interest of the said £20
·       I give to the children of my brother Thomas Gawthrop, William Gawthrop, Robert Ward and Tountell’s children, already mentioned the above-mentioned sum of £20 on the death of my brother John Gawthrop.
·       I give unto Thomas Ward, son of Robert Ward a mare and a foal.
·       I give to Judith Jackson, my sister all that one pound ten shillings that she oweth unto me, in full satisfaction of her legacy.
·       I give unto Jane my £6 for my funeral expenses.
·       Anything not formerly given and bequeathed after my debts discharged I give unto Robert Patrick and Michael Walker aforesaid, whom I make executors.
