Bequests:- to James Burton of Cage in Deepdale in Dent, yeoman, John Guy of Dents Town, innkeeper, George Burton of Gibshall in Kirthwaite in Dent, yeoman, and William Waller of Deepdale in Dent, yeoman, trustees and executors, all that new built stone messuage or dwelling house with soil whereon it stands and court yeard and backside belonging to same formerly being a parcel of ground called the slated house parrock at east end of Dents Town, and one other new built stone dwelling house near adjoining, now in possession of Ann Lowes, widow, and Joseph Thistlethwaite, tenants, and all that new erected piece of building not finished intended for a dwelling house near said premises and adjoining to highway leading into Dents Town at east end thereof, and all that old building now remaining unpulled down formerly known as the Old Slated House; in trust to convey to Jennett GAWTHROP of Flinter Gill in Dent, widow, for £90 15s. by 2 February next all that new built stone messuage or dwelling house with appurts. in possession of testator lately purchased by her in public sale; to convey to Thomas Lindsey of High Ground near Dents Town yeoman, for £40 5s. by 2 February next all that new built stone dwelling house in possession of Ann Lowes and Joseph Thistlethwaite lately purchased by him in public sale; to convey to John Mason of Coventree in Deepdale in Dent, schoolmaster, for £28 5s. by 2 February next all new erected building not finished lately purchased by him in public sale; to convey to John Burton of Sams Land in Deepdale, yeoman, for £16 by 2 February next all that old building now remaining unpulled down formerly known as the Slated House lately purchased by him in public sale; if any of above conveyances are not completed trustees are to sell premises for best price possible; Ref.
