Georges,

I have been away for a week so I haven't had a chance to post. I did post a message & emailed you just before I left. I hope that all is well.

I found baptismal records for the FRANK GAUTHIERS four youngest brothers, HENRY, EDWARD, GEORGES & EDGAR. All in St. Vincent Ferrier Church in Adamsville, Quebec. I have not been able to find birth/ baptismal records for either Frank or his older brother WILLIAM. Neither can I find the marriage record for his parents ALPHONE and ONEZIME.
From the separate pieces of information on various records, it is possible that ALPHONSE and ONESIME married in the US in 1876 and had their first son WILLIAM in the US in either Massachusetts or Connecticut on or about April 17, 1877. They then moved back to Quebec and settled in Brome. FRANK was born on Sep 25, 1878. I have checked the St Vincent Ferrier record but have not found him. He may have been born in the US prior to the move back. The were definitely back in Brome for the birth of ALFRED in Aug 1881.

1) Do you have anything on WILLIAM and FRANK's birth/baptisms?
2) I believe that ALPHONSE & ONESIME were married in 1876. Any record of their marriage?
3) I lost track of HENRY and EDWARD after 1900 in Putnam, CT. It is possible that they moved back to Brome with their parents but left before the 1911 census. I don't know if they stayed in Canada or moved back to the US. I did check draft registrations for WWI in Canada & US but did not find them. Any ideas on the best places to search for them?
4) I also lost ALPHONSE, ONESIME and EDGAR after 1911. I believe that they all stayed in Canada. Any ideas on places to look for ALPHONSE & ONESIME's death records & EDGARS marriage?

On a personal not, in northern Rhode Island the city of Woonsocket has a very high percentage of French-Canadian descendants and a very active American-French Genealogy Society. I am going to a meeting Saturday, April 11. They have research materials and people to instruct in genealogical research. If it looks good then I'll probably join. My next door neighbor has been a member for a number of years.

Thanks again for the information. It has been invaluable.

Tom
