I have acces to Brother Gerard Landreville O.M.I, GAUTHIER FAMILY files that he compiled during over 60 years. He has over 257 000 individuals . Myself I have almost 254 000 individuals and 116 400 marriages.
JEAN GAUTHIER, son of Gabriel Gauthier & Jeanne Chardavouennes, born in 1636 in Saintes, Saintonge France. Died January 10, 1717 in Montreal QC, married November 26, 1671 at Immaculate-Conception church in Trois-Rivieres QC, LEANNE PETIT\LAPRE, daughter of Nicolas Petit & Marie Pomponelle. Fourteen children were born from this union.
JACQUES GAUTHIER, baptised on Sunday June 2, 1647 in St-Vivien of Rouen in Normandy, France, died in 1715 in Sainte-Croix (Lotbinière) QC, contracted marriage before Notary Rageot on Sunday September 11, 1672, married at Notre-Dame church in Sillery QC, Elisabeth-Ursule Denevers, born 1658 in Sillery QC, died 1705 in Sainte-Croix (Lotbiniere) QC, daughter of Etienne Denevers & Anne Hayot. Nine children were born from this union.
JACQUES GAUTHIER remarried on July 28, 1703 in Saint-Nicolas QC, FRANCOISE-MARGUERITE LAMBERT\CHAMPAGNE, born August 26, 1671 in Saint-Augustin QC, daughter of Aubin Lambert & Elisabeth Aubert and widow of Michel Chatel. From this union three children were born.
JEAN & JACQUES are not related.
JEAN GAUTHIER was the 8th immigrant to arrive in New France bearing the patronimic name Gauthier. JACQUES GAUTHIER was the 9th.
