Gause, Cloos, Clause, Closs, Kloss, Gloh

I am wondering if the name GAUSE is a different spelling for GLOHS, CLOSS, KLOSS, CLOOS, CLAUSE, etc.

If so, my husband's family Bible listed them as GLOHS and then KLOSS. They came from Altenkirchen, Pfaltz, Bayern, Germany.
