Searching for descendants of Gault brothers to my great great great grandmother, Barbara Gault (Mrs. William Wham) who was born in Larne, County Antrim, Ireland Nov 21, 1808.
The family emigrated to America sometime before or around 1819/1820 where the father, John Gault, died in Baltimore about 1820. Their grandmother, Eleanor Mitchell Gault Greer, sent for them to live with her in York County, SC.
The daughters of the family, Barbara and Eleanor, married brothers, William and Joseph Wham, in Chester Co, SC and moved to Greenville Co, SC.

Have been unable to determine what became of the brothers after their mother's, Elizabeth Gingles Gault, death in York Co, SC in 1823 and their sister's marriages in 1824 and 1827.

The family bible gives the birth dates as follows:
John Gault - 9/17/1804
James Gault - 4/22/1807
Barbara Gault - 11/21/1808
Eleanor Elizabeth Gault - 10/8/1811
Joseph Gault - 7/28/1814
George William Gault - 5/13/1817

It may be that John and Joseph moved to Louisville, Kentucky, but cannot be certain. I think that James remained in Greenville, SC. Again, uncertain. I suspect that youngest brother, George, died young.

Just trying to "fill in the blanks" on the family tree. Thanks.
