I have something that you might be interested in. A few years ago, I found an old checkbook at an antique store. It is from the Wood & Huston Bank, Marshall, Missouri. Inside, are several checks written by a J.A. Gauldin of Marshall Missouri. The dates are 1881-1892 and are written on the Bank of Slater. I would like to return them to the family but have not been successful in finding anyone by the name of J.A. Gauldin. Does his name ring a bell?
