Hello Connie,
I was very interested to see that William Gaul was the son of John Frederick Gaul and Margaret?____I believe this Margaret is Margaret Matsinger the daughter of Johann Melchoir Matsinger and Anna Catherine Koch Matsinger.
According to my records Margaret died aft.1789 prob.in Philadelphia she is listed in the Will March 10,1788 and proved April 5,1788 Will Bk.U 33 page 85,This names wife Catherine and children Michael,George,Adam,Elizabeth,and Margaret.These same children sell part of the land Deed dated Oct.23,1789 deeding part of the land for the sum of 5 shilling to the husband of John Matsinger's daughter Margaret(John Gaul) Deed Bk I.C.11 page 162.
Philadeliphia.
Michael Matsinger and Elizabeth his wife,Joseph Hall and Elizabeth his wife Adam Matsinger and Elizabeth his wife,George Matsinger and Mary his wife.
In a later deed Bk.M.R.1 Page 667-670 (John Gaul and his wife Margaret (Matsinger)Gaul joined the other siblings and sold 4 acres to John Howell,who than sold this to John Bartram,this land was on the road to Chester and it may now be part of Bartram's Gardens?a well know land mark and tourist attraction.
George Matsinger and Mary Maria Francis (Scharks)Matsinger are my 4 times Great Grandparents.Mar.May 6,1777 St.Michaels & Zion Church Philadelphia,Pa.there dau.Christianna Matsinger was b.June 14,1778 and mar.June 24,1794 George Tymer Arbegust,Phil.area.
I would like any information that you have about them.
