My Gaughans/Gaughens came in 1847 and settled in Centrailia PA. 3 sons moved to Nebraska and received railroad land grants. Being native Irish (Celtic) speaking at that time, Gaughan changed to Gaughen. Thus, our line is easily identified, but there is a good chance that John & Mary Gaughan are our common ancestor.
