I am from Washington, DC, but my parents Jennifer Harrell and Shelton Gatling were from Ahoskie, NC. My father's mother was Inez Gatling, a wonderful lady, that I didn't get a good chance of exploring the background of the Gatling name. I've never had that chance with my father given the reason we also didn't acquire a father and son relationship until I got older. If anyone has any clue to my families past it would be greatly appreciated.
