Wow! This is amazing reading about members of my family. My Great Great grandfather, Samuel Woodard married Elizabeth Revell who was the daughter of Anna Gatling and Matthew Revell. I know my Mother (deceased) used to talk about having lots of relatives in Newport News and surrounding areas. I would love to hear more and I have alot on the Woodards to contribute. Are these Gatlings related to the inventor of the Gatling gun? I'm in touch with another relative on the internet who told me that her mother insists that Benjamin Gatling was our cousin and that he invented the gun. Please keep in touch. I'd love to attend a reunion too. Let me know if you need anything.
