Hello Marty,
Thanks for your quick response. Yes, during my limited research I have run across a lot of George, James and William Gatlings. We must love those English kings. My father's name is Jesse Robert Gatling. His father's name was William Racheous (ph) Gatling. William married Rose Tom Garris in Murfeesboro. William was killed in Suffolk, Va. around 1928. My father is apparently the only one of William's children who survived infancy. That is all I know about our Gatling lineage.
