My great grandfather was Edward Valentine Gatlin. I've given up on finding his parents, but am trying to help my son-in-law with his Gatlin line. His grandmother who is still alive and lives in Florida is Mildred L. Gatlin Sandlin. Her parents were Archie Logan Gatlin and Ora Gertrude Robinson. My prelimnary search indicates Archie was the son of James who was the son of Wm.L who was the son of Nathaniel Prescott Gatlin who was the son of Jesse the son of Lazrus Gatlin. How far off base am I?
