After getting the same information off the web from other sites, there seems to be a dispute as to whether John Henry Jones is the father of Samuel. Some have said it is William B. Jones and Nancy Agnes Cunningham. On my site I have John Henry Jones as the father but also have a John A. Jones as a son of Samuel C. Jones. The others who have researched Samuel's family say John A. Jones is not a son but more of a cousin. My line is John A. Jones who died in Bandera, Tx. You can check my tree at Ancestry.com. Just do a search on Samuel C. Jones. Mine is Trees, Branches and Twigs. Where is you source on John Henry and Nancy Agnes? My email is memaw@ktc.com Am glad to share what I have. I was in hopes a Gatliff or Martin family member might be able to help on proof of parentage.
