I have a letter from a Tyra Wood to my gfather John Riley Wilson. He said he was working for the Gatliff Coal Co. in Whitley Co. probably around 1870-1875. He ask about Tom, Wm.,Jack Kelley and the Wood boy (refering to Thomas F. Wood's son William b.1869. John, Tom, Will Wilson are my gfather and brothers, Jack Kelley was married to a sister of John named Mary. Tom Wood had a sister Jalaa or Jalia that married my ggfather. Tyra mentions Frank and Jeriah which are his brothers. I think Jeriah is Jalaa's father. Anyway this is all very sketchy and I don't have much to go on yet but think after a year of research I probably have the right Wood family. Now, after all that great info. you related to the owners of the Coal Co. and are there records still available. Thanks Ray Wilson
