I am searching for anyone researching the Hunter or Gathright Families from Bedford County. I have a transcript of an old bible that belonged to John
Dearing (Dearen) and his wife Sarah from the 1740's that list several Hunters and some Gathrights:
"John Hunter was born in the year of our Lord September 1 1736
Frances Hunter was born in the year of our Lord 7 August 1738
Ransum Hunter deceased was born in the year of our Lord May 11 1740
??? Hunter was born in the year of our Lord April 1 1745
??? Hunter was born in the year of our Lord August 13 1746
Page 524 Moses Ransum Hunter deceased was born in the year of our Lord
January 24 1748
Calab Hunter was born in the year of our Lord March 10th 1750
Joshua Hunter was born in the year of our Lord October 30th 1751
Adam Hunter was born in the year of our Lord March 25 1754.
Page 566 Samuel Gathright Obaydiah Gathright 1786
Sarah Gathright May the 26 ? 1785
Miles Gathright"
I am trying to determine the relationship between these two familes and the Dearings of Bedford County.
