If I can be anymore help let me know. Try to get a copy of Gorden Gatewood'd book. There is a story in there about Josie's uncle Atwell Bowock Gatewood leaving Missouri following the Oregon trail to California and then back to Texas. They lost a lot of family on the way including his wife. She was Ann Eliza Shackelford the oldest child of Morgan Shackelford and the late Jane Monroe.
