Milly Gates Sanford nee Gates my ggggrandmother was born in 1783 in Washington City i.e. preD.C. which may have been in Charles or Prince Georges Counties.There were several Gates families residing in Southern Maryland in the late 18th century-for example-five residents of Charles Co. named Gates took an Oath of Allegiance to the Colony in the 1774-76 period. Will appreciate any information on early Gates families in Maryland that may identify family,siblings etc. of Milly Gates. Thanks,Dick Schmidt
