My grandfather not sure on his exact birth date but i believe it was in the 1920s. He was originially named Robert Emerson but his mother died during child birth and was adopted by the Gates family. He lived in NY, NY (Bronx) and served in WW2 and later commited suicide while stationed overseas in Korea or Japan. He has 3 sons Russell, Richard, and Robert Jr. Russell being my father. All of them were not close to him so we dont know much about him.
