I don't know if this is a match or not but my father recently told me a story about a grandmother named Ida. She supposedly followed her husband and son to Oklahoma. They had gone to get work. The wife and daughter spent all the money and then left the husband and son their without anyway home. Grandpa tried to walk back to Texas buy he caught pneumonia and died. Grandma Ida later married a Valentine and the Valentines and Gates families have be intertwined ever since. Hope this helps.
