I am researching Jacob Gates, who moved from NY to and settled in Middlefield, OH, with had several sons. I believe (no connection yet) he also moved with several brothers, Stephen being one of them. I notice the Elizabeth Gates above's father was Jacob, and I'm reaching for any possible connection. Elizabeth has been a family name for generations, so perhaps I can find a connection.

Do you have a source or further information on this Elizabeth, or perhaps her father Jacob? I'm dead-ended at him.
