My James Henry Gates (cannot source b. date of 13 Mar 1790) b. Chesterfield, Va. was orphaned (family notes say he had a brother)ran way to Mason Co, KY married Margaret McMichael then moved to
Clermont,OH. Named second daughter Sarah Bass Angeline Gates. Would like to think there is connection to marriage of earlier James Gates and Sarah Bass but no proof. Also, Margaret was neighbor of Wm Gates in Mason Ky.
