The Independent Patriot April 27, 1899 Lamoni, Iowa Purely Personal. THURSDAY. Eliza GATES of Redding, Iowa, a sister of A. E. SHAW, came in to visit. G. W. BLAIR went to St. Joseph, Missouri, to see his son Wallace. J. LUFF and mother returned to Independence, Missouri. E. C. BRIGGS came in from his missionary work. B. F. PETERSON returned from Humeston. Cora MINTON came in from New Canton, Illinois. Mrs. MCCORMACK returned to her home at St. Joseph, Missouri. FRIDAY. Mrs. E. T. DOBSON returned to her home at St. Joseph, Missouri. Aunty PRICE went to Rosedale, Kansas. C. STAFFORD went to Des Moines. James TEALE returned to Davis City. M. T. BANTA returned from Maysville. L. J. WIGHT came in from Blythedale. J. G. SMITH came up from Kansas City, to lay off until the complete recovery of his right arm which was recently broken. SATURDAY. Mrs. F. H. JONES closed her visit with relatives here, and started for Baxter Springs, Kansas, which will be her future home. She was accompanied by her sister, Pearl BAGGERLEY. Mrs. Jay BARR went to St. Joseph, Missouri. L. J. WIGHT returned to Blythedale, Missouri. MONDAY. Mabel BRADLEY came down from Davis City. F. B. BLAIR came in from Davis City. Lawyer STOOKEY of Leon was in town. TUESDAY. C. STAFFORD returned from Des Moines. Surveyor HOLLINGER came in to do some work for the ANDERSON boys. Mr. TOWNSLEY, father of John TOWNSLEY, came in from Brighton, Iowa, to visit with his son. Homer TOWNSLEY returned from Chicago. Mary BAILEY started on her return to her home in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, intending however to go by way of Illinois and visit relatives. G. W. BLAIR returned from St. Joseph, Missouri.
