Yes, Jemima Gately's parents were:
John Gately 1768 Orange Cty, NC - Sep 1805 Person Cty, NC
Jemima Mercer bef 1769-1770 Probably Orange Cty, NC - d abt Sep 1805. They married 30 Jan 1794 Caswell Cty, NC.
Children of Jemima Mercer and John Gately:
John, Susan, Nancy, Sarah, James Mercer, Jemima, Lucretia, Mary, and Phoeba.

A puzzling matter is that I have found another marriage of a Jemima Gately to a Samuel Bradshaw of about the same date. If someone can clear this up, I would appreciate it. Apparently this is another Jemima, but it also appears that she might have married Bradshaw :
Notes for SAMUEL BRADSHAW:
Samuel Bradshaw first wife, name unknown, were living in Franklin Co. Tn
with 9 children in 1820, 4 boys and 5 girls, 5 under the age of 10 and 4 were between 10 and 16 years old. Both father and mother were shown to be
26 to 45 years of age. Still in Franklin Co in 1830. 7 children still at home, in the 1840 census the family lived in Gasconade Co., Missouri. After the gap in births of at least ten years 6 children were added under the age of 10 years 2 boys and 4 girls. Jemima was probably the mother of these children; she
and Samuel must have married late in 1830, after the census was taken.
Samuel Bradshaw was a farmer throughout his life. The family had moved to Greene County (Webster in 1855) Missouri. Thomas J. Bradshaw had been appionted as executor of Samuel's estate.

Mr. Robert Boyer, 8444 Grenoble St., Sunland, CA 91040 seeks the parents and any information on LEVI PITTS, b. 1797 in SC (Newberry Co?), d. 1867 in Wayne Co., TN, m. ca. 1818 to Jemima ?, b. 1801 in NC, reputedly an Indian.Jemima Gately Bradshaw moved with family to Greene County and later to Webster County in 1855,Missouri. The 1850 census report 4 daughters:
Nancy 18
Susan 12 married John C. Johnson
Sarah 10
Delila 7 married James P. Johnson brother to John C. Johnson
Thomas 15
Jesse 20 the oldest son
It is not known when Jemima Bradshaw died but it was probably in Webster Cty, Missouri.
