William KBI Gaston's wife's given name
Good morning Gaston cousins. I have very exciting news for the William (KBI) Gaston researchers. Mary Duke, a KBI descendent, working with the various archives in Northampton County, PA, has discovered a document which shows the given name KBI’s wife.
Mary is not a member of this forum and I have the privilege of making this announcement.
The source document is a letter from John Gaston, KBI’s eldest son, to the Northampton County (PA) Orphan’s Court, dated 22 September 1762. The letter petitions the court to divide the land without spoiling it or establish a value…
Without any further theatrics, the name is an abbreviated form of Margaret
I don’t know if the forum will allow an embedded article, but we will give it a try. It was not accepted
The letter has been reviewed by some members of the forum. The consensus is the abbreviated form of Margaret. However, we look forward to all comments.
Mary was assisted in her research by Richard A Musselman, a family history researcher in Northampton County, PA.
Enough of my rejoicing, let the research begin to find Margaret’s surname.
