Sam, Planet Gaston is a site still under construction. Articles still need to be written about a number of subjects. You would be more than welcome to start one yourself! There are several "pedigrees" already listed on the site. Participants were urged to start with their earliest known ancestor and come up to the generation of their parents or grandparents. This may be helpful for some in finding "holes" in their own lines. Contact the site administrator for better answers to your questions.

As far as determining one's relation to the "southern" branch, so far that is a part of the DNA project. Part of that determination has to do with a marker #460. So far, there seems to be a link among all the folks claiming "southern" Gaston heritage. Again, the DNA Project Administrator can explain this much better than I- and is probably your distant cousin!
