Cheryl, thanks for the info. Would it be possible to find out if I could speak with your former neighbor sometime? That is, if she wouldn't mind? I'd really be fascinated to ask her about that town, etc. I speak enough French to converse on this matter if the English is too difficult for either of us. In the mean time, you're right, there is still a lot of digging to do. Actually, verifying the Gastons in N. Ireland and Scotland pre-William of Antrim and Hugh (of Ballymena?-1687)is high on the agenda of many of us. Very glad to get your input! Stay in touch.
