I do not have a Jackson Gastineau or a Sarah Baugh. I have a family of Baughn's; the mother was a gastineau. As far a i know the Gastons are a separate family. One source says they did change the name to Gaston when it was not the thing to be a Frenchman & then back to Gastineau when being English was in. A detailed search has never resulted in proving.
