Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the same family or not, but my grandmother was a Gaster from Iowa and lived in Minnesota part of the time as she had an aunt and uncle living there. Her name was Grace Marian Gaster and she married my grandfather August Walter Bommel in 1922. Her father's name was Frank Gaster and her mother's name was Marion Unnteriener (I'm not sure if I've spelled that correctly or not). Her mother died when my grandmother was 12 and her father married again at least once or twice after that. She had a sister named Vera and brothers named Everett, Frank, Donald, Clyde and at least two others that I can't recall what their names were. Do any of these names ring a bell with you? I just thought it was strange that both of our families had lived in Iowa and Minnesota. Maybe there's a connection?
